| Active Military - No Registration Fee Required A valid military employee email is required at time of registration and employee ID is required at time of onsite check-in. A person who is active duty is in the military full time. They work for the military full time, may live on a military base, and can be deployed at any time. Persons in the Reserve or National Guard, or retired military, are not considered full-time active-duty military personnel in the definition of this fee. DOD Contractors do not qualify for this fee. | DOD Civilian Military - No Registration Fee Required A valid civilian military employee email is required at time of registration and employee ID is required at time of onsite check-in. A DOD civilian does not serve in the military but is appointed to the federal civil service. DOD civilians work for the military departments (i.e., Army, Navy, and Air Force) as well as other defense agencies and field activities. Civilian military work for the military full time. Retired military or veterans are not considered civilian military personnel in the definition of this fee. DOD Contractors do not qualify for this fee. You must hold a SBIR/STTR Conference or TechConnect World Innovation registration to attend.
