Consortium Membership

Consortia relieve some of the contractual burdens typically placed on contractors working for federal clients, making it possible for nontraditional contractors to participate in technology development.

The CWMD Consortium responds to the federal government's expressed interest to include industry, academic, and nonprofit partners in supporting agencies with a need for new technologies related to countering weapons of mass destruction. The Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND) - the government partner - leverages CWMD for cutting edge R&D and to advance the development of prototypes.
