Call for Student Leaders

TechConnect, in partnership with the NextTech Student Network and affiliated student groups from across the country, is proud to announce the 2026 Nano and Emerging Technologies Student Leaders Conference co-located with the 2026 TechConnect World Innovation Conference and 2026 SBIR/STTR Spring Innovation Conference. The event will be held on March 10–12, 2026 in Raleigh, NC.

The Student Leaders Conference brings together undergraduate nano and emerging technologies student group representatives from across the United States. This program highlights undergraduate research and connects students with entrepreneurs, industry leaders, venture capitalists, and representatives of federal agencies that are funding research in emerging technologies. The Student Leaders Conference is also an opportunity for students to share best practices on leading student groups for emerging technologies and network with like-minded group leaders.

This year, the Student Leaders Conference is coordinating with the Emerging Tech Manufacturing Workforce and Development Program at TechConnect to raise awareness about the different career paths associated with emerging technologies, such as nanotechnology, microelectronics, and biotechnology. In addition to keynotes and presentations describing various emerging technology industries, students will have the opportunity to participate in speed-networking sessions and career panels, explore career and training at the expo floor, and showcase their research during the poster session.

In its role in supporting the National Nanotechnology Initiative, the National Nanotechnology Coordination Office is helping to facilitate the NextTech Student Network. Student leaders in any science, technology, or business domain are welcomed to participate in the 2026 Student Leaders Conference and the Emerging Tech Manufacturing Workforce and Development Program at TechConnect!
