Passive Ultra-Broadband Single-Photon Imaging

University of Toronto researchers have developed the world’s first camera system capable of ultra-wideband and low-light imaging and perception. This technology is based on single-photon detection via SPAD sensors and intelligent data processing. It has applications for defense, surveillance, security, optical and space communications, LIDAR, autonomous vehicles and mobile devices.
