MSD Solutions Lab

The MSD Solutions Lab, a program of the National Safety Council, takes on the most common and pervasive type of workplace injury, musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). MSDs, such as back strain, carpal tunnel syndrome, rotator cuff tears, and herniated discs, affect nearly one-quarter of the global population.  The lab aims to tackle this critical safety issue through a holistic approach to MSD risk reduction that improves both business efficiency and total worker experience.

To achieve this, the lab examines MSD related risk factors, conducts innovative research, identifies emerging technology solutions, and forms scalable solutions that cater to a diverse workforce. Together with key stakeholders, the MSD Solutions Lab provides free resources to help organizations protect their most valuable assets: their employees.
