Kelley Rogers

Kelley Rogers, Ph.D., is the Deputy Director for the Office of Advanced Manufacturing (OAM) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).  During her time at NIST, she has led the strategic and programmatic oversight of the first Commerce-sponsored Manufacturing USA institute, the National Institute for Innovation in Manufacturing Biopharmaceuticals, or NIIMBL. She has also served as first Chief of the OAM Program Operations Division following the expansion of OAM to address growing statutory responsibilities. Kelley previously worked in the biopharmaceutical industry as a Principal Investigator for Antimicrobials Drug Discovery. She was a post-doctoral fellow and staff fellow in the National Institute of Digestive, Diabetes, and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), at the National Institutes of Health. Kelley’s research background is in bacterial protein synthesis and gene expression. Kelley received a Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University and a B.A. in Chemistry from Hendrix College.
