Scott Davis is the Wilmington Hub Director for NCInnovation,
where he works alongside the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) to
accelerate the commercialization of university research and strengthen
southeastern North Carolina’s innovation economy.
Scott began his career as an entrepreneur before moving into
technology transfer, where he managed UNCW’s Office of Innovation and
Commercialization. He later built a career in venture capital, advising
startups and investment funds, and led a national accelerator supporting
veteran-led startups. His work has focused on helping early-stage founders
secure capital, refine strategy, and scale high-growth ventures.
Scott holds a B.S. in Business Administration (Economics) from
UNCW, a Master of Marketing (International Marketing) from the University of
Valencia, and an MBA (International Business) from UNCW.
