SungWoo Nam is a Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of California, Irvine, and Director of the Integrated Nanosystems Research Facility. His research explores mechanically-coupled properties of 2D semiconductors for emerging electronic and quantum technologies. Previously an Associate Professor and Anderson Faculty Scholar at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, he is a TMS Early Career Faculty Fellow and recipient of the NSF CAREER, AFOSR and ONR Young Investigator, and NASA Early Career Faculty Awards.
