Arun Kota received BS in Chemical Engineering from Andhra University (India), MS in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Michigan and an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Colorado State University prior to joining Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at North Carolina State University. Leveraging his expertise in surface and interfacial science, he conducts interdisciplinary research that is both fundamental and applied, with emphasis on super-repellent surfaces, stimuli-responsive surfaces, bio-interfaces and themal-fluid interfaces.
