Professor Anderson Lobo is a Full Professor at the Center of Technology at the Federal University of Piauí. He is an affiliated member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences and Core Academy Fellow. He graduated in Biomedical Engineering, with a PhD in Sciences from the Technological Institute of Aeronautics. His has a Postdoctoral degree in Bioengineering from Harvard Medical School (and Massachusetts Institute of Technology; Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology). He has been a Visiting Professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2019) and Visiting senior Professor at Centre de Recherches sur les Macromolécules Végétales (CERMAV) – CNRS (2024). Professor Lobo serves as the editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Nanomedicine and Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology. Professor Anderson Lobo experience is in the fields of materials science and biomedical engineering with a focus on synthesizing new hydrogels and developing biomimetic biomaterials using nano- and microfabrication techniques using spinning and bioprinting techniques.
