Will Hales is a highly experienced executive who has led and supported management teams across a range of sectors, including financial services, energy, and industrial services. As Managing Director of Market Cross, LLC, he leads the family office of a fourth generation family business whose operations span the Southeastern United States, leading corporate development and forming new investment opportunities.
Mr. Hales has also served as an advisor to early-stage businesses, serving often as a domain spanner providing relevant and valuable connections between ventures and target markets and aligned investors. He has a particular interest in supporting National Security innovation and holds advisory board roles with several companies in the space, as well as advising regional economic development organizations and universities in Southeastern Louisiana. Additionally, he serves as a civic leader with several regional non-profit organizations, including service on the board of trustees of Manning Family Children’s Hospital New Orleans, The Idea Village, and NextOp Veterans. He holds a City Council appointment to the New Orleans Board of City Trusts, which oversees all immovable properties held in trust or for public benefit by the City of New Orleans, and is the US Navy Community Ambassador for the state of Louisiana.
Mr. Hales received an AB in History from Bowdoin College, having also completed studies in History and International Relations at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, and received an MBA from the Freeman School of Business, Tulane University, receiving Beta Gamma Sigma honors.
