Steve Edkins is Senior Director of Strategy & Operations at Citrine Informatics. He is an expert in the deployment of AI/ML and digitization practices for the development of materials and chemicals. In his time at Citrine, Steve has held leadership roles in strategy, business operations, and technology (including several years leading Citrine's Data Science and Data Engineering team).
Steve earned a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of St. Andrews (Scotland), and an undergraduate degree in Natural Science from the University of Cambridge (England). He also worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Cornell University and was awarded the Karel Urbanek Postdoctoral Fellowship at Stanford University. His research was recognized by the Institute of Physics Superconductivity Thesis Prize for the "best thesis produced in 2016 in the field of superconductivity" and his thesis was published by Springer "in recognition of its scientific excellence and impact on research".
