Dr. Sougata Ghosh, is currently working as a Visiting Professor at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Kasetsart University, Bangkok, Thailand. He is also Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology, School of Science, RK. University, Rajkot, Gujarat. He is an active researcher in nanomedicine, who obtained his Bachelor degree, Masters and Ph.D. in Microbiology from University of Pune, presently Savitribai Phule Pune University, India. He was Postdoctoral Fellow at Northeastern University, USA. He has filed 7 patents, and published 357 articles that include 10 Books, 150 book chapters, 90 international research and review articles, and 107 articles in conference proceedings. He has got 4968 citations, h-index 37 and i10-index 81. He has published in highly cited International Journals like International Journal of Nanomedicine, Journal of Nanobiotechnology, Journal of Nanomaterials, Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. As speaker he has addressed 70 International and National conferences, symposia, and workshops the most notable being ICMAR 2023 at Cebu Normal University, Philippines, 1stJICEST-2023 at University of Jambi, Indonesia, IJAS-2019 at Harvard University, USA; ITNANO, Northeastern University, USA; ASM Biodefense, Washington D.C. USA; Nano-Bio-Med 2013, Italy and BioMicroWorld2013, Spain. Dr. Ghosh is an Associate editor of Frontiers in Chemistry, Current Microbiology (Springer) and also member of Editorial Board/Reviewer’s Team of 70 international journals like Nanoscale, Journal of Photochemistry & Photobiology, B: Biology, Journal of Diabetes Research, International Journal of Advances In Engineering Research and others. He was Principal Investigator of DBT (Department of Biotechnology), Government of India, funded Foldscope Project and had conducted numerous workshops in various Colleges and Universities throughout India where more than 1200 students received training on research and innovation using Foldscope. His area of research consists of, but is not limited to, nanomedicine, microbial metabolism, bioprospecting, bioremediation, biofilms, cancer and diabetes.
