Dr. Sean P. Nelan received his B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Delaware in 2018, and his Ph.D. in electromagnetics and photonics in 2022 with a focus on exotic photonic material platforms. Sean has a background in active photonic component design, fabrication and characterization is now the lead photonic design engineer for Spark Photonics, specializing in end-to-end design services for cutting-edge integrated photonics projects across the world.
