Piotr Kulczakowicz is the Director of Quantum Startup Foundry at the University of Maryland (UMD), a business accelerator for quantum technology startups. He managed and licensed UMD‘s intellectual property portfolio in engineering and physical sciences including quantum technologies. Piotr advised more than 20 UMD spinoff companies. Prior to UMD, he was leading business development at Quantum4D, a non-quantum software startup. Piotr developed his business skills while at McKinsey&Company in their European, North American, and Asian offices. He worked as a Research Assistant in the Laser Spectroscopy Group at the Institute of Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences and holds an MSc in Applied Physics and an MBA.
