Summary:

Developing new and marketable products from cellulose nanomaterials (CNMs), such as cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs), cellulose nanofibrils (CNFs), and cellulose nanofilaments (CFs), has gained enormous amounts of traction over the last two decades for their potential applications in textile, packaging, medicine, automotive, building and construction, and cosmetics industries. Despite the significant amount of research and development efforts, there are very few large-scale and commercially viable CNM products on the market. Many challenges hindering the commercialization of CNMs have been identified. This presentation will highlight our recent work and results on developing opportunities for large volume commercial applications of CNM. More importantly provides insights and identifies challenge/barriers toward advancing the commercialization of cellulose nanomaterials
