Summary:

This presentation will provide an overview of the NSF-funded National Nanotechnology Coordinated Infrastructure (NNCI), a network of 16 academic sites and their partners distributed across the US. The NNCI provides access to state-of-the-art facilities, equipment, and staff expertise for nanoscale science and engineering and is open to all researchers from academia, industry, and government. The network also supports associated programs for education, outreach and societal implications of nanotechnology. NNCI resources and impact, select examples of industry success stories, as well as new initiatives to promote entrepreneurial and translational activities, will be discussed.
