Armin VahidMohammadi

Research Assistant Professor

Drexel University

Armin’s research interests are nanomaterials and their applications in electrochemical energy storage systems such as batteries and supercapacitors. He is interested in discovery of novel materials and design of systems and electrode architectures that can improve the performance and life cycle of current Li-ion batteries. He is also interested in development of high energy density hybrid supercapacitors that can potentially substitute batteries in future electric vehicles. Currently, Dr. VahidMohammadi is pursuing these research directions in Prof. Yury Gogotsi’s group at Drexel University. His expertise span further into novel battery chemistries beyond Li technology, such as multivalent batteries. His other research interests are sensors for biomedical applications and wearable technologies. Beside science, Armin is a computer graphist as well as a technology, automobile, and digital currency enthusiast who is supporting green technologies and an electric future.
