Pratyush Tiwary is an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland, College Park in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and the Institute for Physical Science and Technology. He received his PhD from Caltech and undergraduate degree from IIT-BHU-Varanasi, India. He did postdocs at ETH Zurich and Columbia University. His lab studies rare events in biology and engineering by developing computational tools grounded in statistical mechanics and artificial intelligence. His lab's interdisciplinary research has been recognized through NSF CAREER award, OpenEye Outstanding Junior Faculty Award, Doctoral New Investigator award from American Chemical Society and emerging investigator awards from different journals.
