Ms. Vy Ly is an Engineering Manager for the Department of Navy’s Lithium Battery Safety Program supporting the safety certification of lithium battery systems for the Navy and Marine Corps. She is also a Lead Engineer supporting the development of specifications and standards for hydrogen and fuel cell technologies for Naval applications. She is currently on a special detail assignment to the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations to address surging advanced battery requirements and hydrogen integration of Navy and Marine Corps tactical systems. In 2015, she began her civil career as an In-service Engineering Agent for the Virginia Class Submarine Primary Oxygen Generator at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
