Wei Xie graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a PhD after working on desalination membranes in Dr. Benny Freeman's group. He went to United Technologies Research Center in Connecticut where he spent 6 years on all-vanadium flow battery system. Last year, he joined Form Energy located in Boston area and is now leading a sulfur based aqueous flow battery project awarded by ARPA-E aiming stationary long-duration energy storage.
