Flexible Magnetoelectric Polymer Nanocomposites for Electronics Application

Flexible Polymer-based magnetoelectronics with an organized structure are most desirable in the field of memory, energy storage, and harvesting devices. In this work, we have developed flexible nickel ferrite (NiFe203)-PVDF and (NiFe203)-PVDF-TrFE nanocomposite films. The obtained composite films show excellent magnetoelectric coupling at room temperature, making them good candidates for improved ferroelectric devices. The nanocomposite films were prepared by the straightforward solution casting method, wherein the nickel ferrite nanoparticles with different weight percentage (5, 10, 15, 20, and 30%) were incorporated in the ferroelectric PVDF and PVDF-TrFE polymer matrices. The structural, morphological and thermal stability of nanocomposites were characterized by X-ray diffraction, FTIR, scanning electron microscope, DSC and TGA.
