Darlene Forrest is the SBIR Program and Logistic Specialist for the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In this capacity, she assists in the overall coordination for the 10 Institutes and Centers that participate in the SBIR program. Working along with the SBIR Program Manager, she ensures that the proper resources and critical information is provided to the small business community, VCs, entrepreneurs and those interested in obtaining federal funding through this HHS/CDC life science program. 

 Darlene received her Master’s Degree in Sociology from Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio.
