Carlo obtained his B.S. (1994), M.S. (1996) and Ph.D. (2001) degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY, where his research interests included the use of femtosecond pulse laser radiation to interrogate the electrical and optoelectronic properties of semiconductor and superconductor materials. He joined the Science and Technology Division at Corning in 2001 where his contributions have focused on delivering material and process innovations for advanced optics, display, pharmaceutical, and consumer electronics application spaces. Carlo currently heads up a research group focused on delivering new product functionality for glass and glass ceramics surfaces.
