Brent Boyce is Director of Concept Development at Guardian Glass where he is responsible for long term product and technology development to enhance energy efficiency, aesthetic appeal, and functionality of glass in architectural and automotive applications.  Brent holds a BS in applied physics from Michigan Technological University and PhD in condensed matter physics from The Ohio State University where he did thesis work on superconducting thin films.  Prior to Guardian, Brent held positions at Lucent Technologies and NanoOpto developing vacuum process and thin film based products for telecommunication and consumer optics applications.  He currently serves on the board of directors and as large area technical chair for the Society of Vacuum Coaters.
