Value Proposition: This technology provide energy at any place and anytime. The benefit compare to lithium ion battery is the energy density that could be increased. For example, several military prototypes have already been successfully tested, including in field trials, and deliver average power of 12 watts and 360 Wh of energy, compatible with the FELIN system's actually used in the French Army. This portable energy source will replace FELIN's lithium-ion batteries, reducing the weight carried by infantry soldiers.
Furthermore, this new technology could also meet requirements for portable optronics, radios, mini-robots, drones and remote sensors, and help spur the emergence of a new industry based on a dual-use (civil-military) technology.

Vetted Programs/Awards: Eurosatory 2012 international defense show, CEATech-Liten and the company Bic were awarded for their work for the FELIN program on a fuel cell (300Wh/kg specific energy density) in order to replace lithium-ion batteries and reduce the weight carried by soldiers, under a basic research contract from French defense procurement agency.
