TECHNOLOGY SUMMARY
By leveraging the power of optics, AOMS has invented a series of powerful technologies to transform the landscape of sensing industry for reliable, accurate, and high-fidelity measurements in applications where existing sensor products fail or lose performance.
Primary Application Area: Electronics, Sensors, Communications
Technology Development Status: Ready to Market
FIGURES OF MERIT
Value Proposition: AOMS fiber optic sensor products have the advantage of consolidating multiparameter sensing in a single and small form factor cable for distributed sensing of critical parameters. This capability reduces the upfront capital cost and other costs associated with implementation and operation of the monitoring equipment. AOMS products outperform existing electronic-based sensors products in reliability, longevity, and accuracy for harsh environment sensing. Greater reliability and cost advantages of AOMS products translate into more customer satisfaction, affecting both the top and bottom lines. As an example, a remediation service company can save $1-2 per $1 of investment on our sensors in less than three years. Also, customer satisfaction and lower project recalls are additional value propositions of our sensors in this market. In the oil and gas industry, the producers can optimize the production and continuously monitor the condition of the downhole equipment to prevent major failures. In the pipelines industry, AOMS sensors can predict the failure of high performance coatings in advance of any catastrophic failure which saves enormous litigation costs and mitigates irreversible environmental impacts.
