Instructions for Technical Presenters


STEP ONE

REGISTER
Accepted abstracts must have at least one author present at the conference. Presenting authors must complete their registration by March 31, 2017. Please register here.

One registration may present up to 3 accepted abstract titles. If a presenting author is not registered by the March 31 deadline, the title may be removed from the conference program.
Deadline: March 31, 2017 – Late Poster Authors will be given a different registration deadline. Please see your acceptance notice.


STEP TWO

USA ENTRY VISA
For our international attendees, please secure your USA entry visa as soon as possible. If you require an invitation letter, please request it immediately here.

One presenting author must be registered by March 31, and extensions to this deadline are rare. If a presenting author is not registered by the March 31 deadline, the title may be removed from the conference program. Please contact should you have any questions.

STEP THREE

TECHNICAL PROCEEDINGS PAPER
Accepted abstracts submitted by February 28 must provide a 4-page paper for publication in the annual TechConnect World Conference Technical Proceedings that are distributed as the TechConnect Briefs. Inclusion in this publications is at the discretion of the proceedings editors.

Please follow paper preparation instructions here. Accepted authors will be sent paper upload instructions by early-March.

Technical papers and copyright forms must be uploaded to the Conference website by March 24, 2017. If your paper is not received by the March 24 deadline, the title may be removed from the conference program.

STEP FOUR

HOTEL
Presenting authors are encouraged to book their hotel accommodation early due to high room demand. Please reserve your hotel accommodation here.

STEP FIVE

TRAVEL
Please make your own travel arrangements. Airport information, maps, and driving directions to the conference venue may be found here.
Deadline: Per your institution or employer's requirement.


STEP SIX

PRESENTATION
Your specific presentation day and time will be sent to you by early-March when the program is posted. Prepare your presentation following the instructions below. We do not collect oral or poster presentations before or after the conference. Bring your presentation with you to the conference venue.
Deadline: May 15, 2017


General Oral Presentations: Oral presentations are limited to 20 minutes, including 5 minutes for questions and answers. Those in Panel Sessions, Keynotes, Invited Speakers, Expo Program or Innovation Showcase may be given alternate time limit instructions. Sessions are strictly kept to the published time schedules. Should an author not be present for his/her scheduled talk, the session chair will break until the next scheduled speaker time. Standard audiovisual equipment including: PC laptop, LCD projector, screen, and wireless microphone will be provided in each session room. AV Technicians will be available on site for assistance. Please prepare your presentation in MS PowerPoint (PPT) or PDF and bring it with you to the conference on USB memory stick. NOTE: PPT presentations with external videos sometimes require special video decoders / players, and we cannot guarantee the on-site computers will have them. You may bring your own laptop, however, you will need to test your presentation before your session starts, and inform your session chair you have your own machine. If you choose to bring handouts you may do so, but you are solely responsible for their reproduction, distribution and collection. LAN Internet connections are not available in the session rooms - daily wireless access is available, but not recommended for presentations. If you have specific questions, or do not receive your presentation session time/day, contact .

General Poster Presentations: Please prepare and print your poster, and bring it with you to the conference venue. The displayable poster area is 4 feet by 4 feet. We strongly suggest a poster size of 3 feet x 4 feet (portrait layout) as you will be sharing the poster stand with other authors. Poster stands and tacks for mounting will be provided at the venue. Each poster presentation must have at least one author present during at the poster session hours. AV equipment is not permitted in the poster session area and no electricity is available in the poster area. You will be sent specifics of your poster session day/time. If you have specific questions, or do not receive your presentation session time/day, contact .

Invited Oral Presentations: Invited presenters, keynotes or panelists will receive instructions from the symposium organizer and/or Conference Secretariat. Please contact should you have any questions.
