Aram Chung is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Nuclear Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) where he directs the Bio-Optofluidics lab. Professor Chung received his BS (2006) in Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University (SNU) in Korea, followed by an MS (2009) and PhD (2011) in Mechanical Engineering at Cornell University under the supervision of Professor David Erickson. Before joining RPI in 2013, he was a postdoctoral researcher of Bioengineering at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) under the guidance of Professor Dino Di Carlo. His current research program focuses on the development of high-throughput microfluidic systems for 3D shaped microparticle manufacturing and quantitative single-cell analysis.
