Sage Chandler is the Vice President, International Trade for the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). She is responsible for trade policy, legislation and negotiation matters affecting the approximately 2400 member companies of CTA.
Prior to joining CTA in 2006, Ms. Chandler served a decade in international trade with the United States Government. For nearly 6 years she worked for the International Trade Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce. Specializing in south-east Asian affairs, her DOC roles included APEC trade negotiations, working with foreign governments on infrastructure privatization, and assisting U.S. companies with their business ventures overseas.
From 2002-2006, she served the Executive Office of the President, Office of the United States Trade Representative as Director for Canadian Affairs. In this capacity, Ms. Chandler negotiated trade policy matters for the White House with the U.S.’ largest trading partner. Her portfolio included several contentious issues including lumber, intellectual property, numerous agricultural issues, as well as issues in the NAFTA.
Before moving to Washington, DC, she was a commodities trader in Peabody, Massachusetts.
