Ying is the Vice President of Global Technology Innovation. He is responsible for idea management, technology scouting/ technology roadmap, technology assessment, exploratory project portfolio and university project portfolio.
Ying has been with Baxter for thirty years. Of those, he
• Has been in multiple roles including functional leadership (medical consumables and system), product platform leadership, technical leadership, project leadership.
• Developed and launched many medical devices and drugs products globally
• Led and managed in all phases of product development of medical products globally from conceptualization to commercialization and life cycle management.
• Expanded R&D global footprint through building global R&D capability and outsourcing.
Prior to joining Baxter, he worked in industrial manufacturing of value added consumables and specialty equipment.
He currently holds sixty-two patents, authored fourteen publications and has received eleven Baxter Technical Awards.
Ying holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
