Samiul Amin

Samiul Amin is currently Assistant Vice-President of Open Research at L'Oréal Research & Innovation based in Clark, New Jersey. Samiul received his BS in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers University, his MS in Chemical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and his PhD in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University. He also has postdoctoral research experience in soft condensed matter physics from the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. Samiul’s technical expertise is in personal care/home care and biopharmaceutical formulations, complex fluids, rheology, microrheology &  scattering techniques (light, x-ray & neutrons). Samiul has worked in a variety of industrial sectors including personal care/cosmetics, scientific instrumentation and has focused on external collaborations & open innovation in all of his roles.  He has published and patented extensively in the complex fluids and instrumentation area and has chaired and co-chaired numerous national and international conferences.
