Tuning Photocurrent Response Through Size Control of CdTe Quantum Dots Sensitized Solar Cells

Presynthesized CdTe quantum dots (QDs) of different sizes, ( with radii 2.10, 2.27, 2.32, and 2.47 nm ) were deposited by direct adsorption (DA) technique onto TiO2 nanoparticles (NPs) layer to serve as sensitizers in solar cells. The characteristic parameters of the assembled CdTe quantum dots sensitized solar cells ( QDSSCs ) were measured under AM 1.5 illuminations (100mw/cm2) using ABET 2000 solar simulator. The photocurrent response and photoconversion efficiency of these QDSSCs are tuned by controlling the CdTe QDs size.
