Bistable Liquid Crystal Alignment Based on Two-dimensional Surface Relief Gratings in IPS Devices

The bistable in-plane switch device can be demonstrated by using the two-dimensional surface relief gratings through the multiple holographic recording. The mechanism of in-plane switch can be investigated by the dependence of surface anchoring on the rotational angle between two-stage writings and the polarization of writing beams.
