Exploiting Multi Walled Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNTs) in Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFCs)

Efficiency of PEMFCs strongly depends on the membrane-electrode assembly (MEA). Carbon nanotubes as a component of the electrode and catalyst support of PEMFCs have attracted interest in recent years because of their features. We have studied the development of an optimal MWCNT thin film for using as either a catalyst substrate or a gas diffusion layer. In this paper, a main objective is to achieve higher current density with an MEA whose GDL will be manufactured via graded MWCNT’s.
