Susan attended Oakland University and earned her Master of Science in Biology concentrating in Environmental Science. Post-graduation she was invited to participate in a Visiting Partnership at the University of Michigan - Center for Occupation Health & Safety Engineering where her partnership was focused on EHS and Manufacturing Readiness Levels. Susan has nearly 20 years of Environmental Health & Safety industrial experience including; plastics (foam), metals, building construction, automotive interiors manufacturing, aviation, power, and research and development. Over the past seven years, she has been focused on startup business ventures for General Electric. These innovation startups include several development/manufacturing locations with processes that involved various types of additive manufacturing along with system safety, occupational exposure, building infrastructure requirements, process safety, and risk profiling.
