A prototype of medical oxygen concentrator based on Lehigh Patented Rapid Pressure Swing Adsorption Process was designed for continuous supply of 1-5SLPM of 90% O2 from ambient air. The novel prototype unit is fabricated with readily available components in the market. Estimation of prototype performance is currently in progress.

Value Proposition: Miniaturization of Medical Oxygen Concentrator improves the portability and reduces energy requirements of the device and hence the mobility and comfortability of the patient. The continuous supply of oxygen ensures patient safety and improves the quality of life of COPD patients. A plug-in option provides the opportunity for virtually unlimited time of use in some situations where compressed air is available.
