Brian Richard Pauw

Permanent Scientist

Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing, Germany

Dr. Brian R. Pauw specialises in applied metrology of small-angle scattering. Over the ten years of his career, he has focused on attaining accuracy in data collection, correction and analysis. This was done (in chronological order) at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Aarhus University (while located at SPring-8 in Japan), the National Institute of Materials Science (NIMS, Japan), and currently as a permanent scientist at the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM, Berlin). His main achievements include a well-read SAXS weblog (http://lookingatnothing.com/), a popular review paper on data corrections, and a software package for easy but thorough SAS analysis (McSAS: http://mcsas.net/).
