cSilk™ is the novel material that can be applied as a submicron thick coating on substrates and surfaces of various sizes and shapes. It is produced in the free-standing form by dry self-assembly from carbon nanotube forest and the application does not require wet chemical processing or high vacuum specialized equipment. cSilk™ can serve as a highly conducting and transparent coating, provide reinforcement for thin films and membranes. Additionally cSilk™ templated with metals or functional materials opens the new possibilities for use in various applications.
