Opticondistor (OTV) - An optically controlled wide band gap switch

This technology is called the opticondistior or OTV (US Pat. Appl.13/928,322). It is an optically-controlled wide-bandgap device similar to a transistor, but without the limitation of a controlling junction. Being optically-controlled, it has unlimited voltage and current capability and can be used in a wide variety of market segments.
