TECHNOLOGY SUMMARY

This invention is a rapid, field-use immunoassay device that utilizes nanostructures to quickly provide unambiguous, easily-visible detection of disease. The device’s sensitivity allows pathogen sub-strain differentiation and “real time” epidemiology. The elimination of dye tagging removes the need for supporting microscopes and photometers and also reduces false positive results.

Value Proposition: This immunoassay does not require lab equipment to detect disease, which allows rapid deployment in areas lacking facilities. It gives an accurate visual assessment of a wider variety of disease strains allowing for superior disease treatment. The stability of the components reduces false positives from the degradation of markers.
