Laser Range Finder

A ranging system for accurately measuring the distance to retro-reflectors for lengths greater than 100 meters is developed using fiber optic technology. Improved accuracy and determination of absolute distances is accomplished by combining a time of flight measuring technique with a differential phase technique.

Value Proposition: This proposed instrument has a unique distance measuring capability with high precision over long ranges. The instrument can track relative movement very precisely and can be reconfigured for optimized accuracy, range, power consumption and radio frequency interference concerns.
