TECHNOLOGY SUMMARY

A simple and scalable surface modification treatment was developed, in which nano- and micro-scale features are introduced into the surface of titanium (Ti) substrates by means of a novel and eco-friendly oxidative aqueous solution composed of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3).

Value Proposition: Our Tech can be effectively utilized to create reproducible nano/microscale topographies on Ti implant surfaces, thus providing an economical new oxidative solution that may be used effectively and safely as a Ti surface modification treatment.
