Value Proposition: Vital Vio offers the most consistent method of bacteria removal in sensitive environments. Almost no user input is required to achieve a 99% inactivation of bacteria every day over the 3-5 year product life. This method not only offers reduction of bioburden, but also is positioned to drastically reduce infections.

Government Funding/Support to Date: Vital Vio has received two contract awards from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). The first award was granted April 2013 for $300,000 and was a phase II development award purposed to fund Vital Vio to develop a product utilizing the technology and complete necessary development, pre-production, and product approval steps. The Second award was granted February 2014 for $300,000 and is a phase III demonstration award serving to prove out benefits of disinfection, infection reduction, and energy benefits at facilities including Mt. Sinai Medical Center and the Albany VA Hospital.
