Miniature Medical Oxygen Concentrator

A proprietary novel rapid pressure swing adsorption (RPSA) concept based medical oxygen concentrator (MOC) design using a single adsorber enclosed inside a product storage tank was developed. The adsorbent inventory and power requirements were, respectively, ~ 50 % and ~ 10 % less than those of a typical commercial unit.

Value Proposition: Miniaturization of Medical Oxygen Concentrator improves the portability and reduces energy requirements of the device and hence the mobility and comfortability of the patient. A plug-in option provides opportunity for virtually unlimited time of use in some situations where compressed air is available.
