In-Pipe Robot Using Multi-Out Differential Gear

In-pipe robot using multi-out-differential-gear is for the inspection of pipelines. This is composed of multi-out differential gear mechanism, wall-pressing one,and driven by single motor.It is designed to adapt to the varying inside geometries of pipelines such as elbows by modulating the velocities of active wheels mechanically without any control effort.

Value Proposition: When a robot drives in a straight pipe, all wheels may have the same velocity, and when it drives in a bent pipe, power from an actuator can be transferred to wheels with 3 different velocities using a mechanical differential, so that no additional control is required.
