A Low-cost Compact 9 MeV Cyclotron and FDG synthesizer for Radiopharmaceuticals Production System

Through the invention of power-saving and slim-magnet-system, SKKUCY-9 is currently the smallest cyclotron in the world where its outmost radius is 1.25m and the height is about 1.3m including the leg. The compact FDG synthesizer which produces the short-lived isotopes, utilizes self-shielding structures and microfluid dynamics without conventional Hot Cell.

Value Proposition: As PET-relevant imaging becomes more popular and general for small hospitals, supply for shot-lived radioisotope such as F-18 and C-11 should be more effective for use to the patients.The compact radiopharmaceuticals production system including both the accelerator and the FDG-synthesizer would be a competitive solution in the upcoming market trend.
