TECHNOLOGY SUMMARY

This technology relates to hollow fiber PIM-1/Matrimid mixed matrix membranes for CO2/CH4 (CO2 removal from natural gas or biogas purification), CO2/N2 (CO2 removal from flue gas) separations. Under mixed gas tests of 50/50 CO2/CH4, this fiber shows a CO2 permeance of 188.9GPU and a CO2/CH4 selectivity of 28.8.

Value Proposition: Hollow fiber configuration provides high surface area per unit volume of footprint, compared to flat sheet or spiral wound membranes. High flux of membranes of this technology compared to commercial membranes.
