Catalytic Hollow Fiber Membrane for Pure Hydrogen Production

This technology relates to triple layer catalytic hollow fiber membranes for use in catalytic membrane reactors for reforming of hydrocarbons to produce pure hydrogen in a single step. The membrane is stable at high temperatures and it has a high surface area per volume for reaction and hydrogen permeation.

FIGURES OF MERIT
Value Proposition: Hollow fibers has a larger surface area per volume ratio for higher throughput and hydrogen permeation. This reduces footprint of the unit. Products are continuously removed which leads to higher conversion due to equilibrium shift to the product side.
