Presenter Instructions

TechConnect World General Oral Presenter Instructions

General Oral presentations are limited to 20 minutes, including 5 minutes for questions and answers. Those in Panel Sessions, Keynotes, Invited Speakers, Expo Program or Innovation Showcase have been given alternate time limit instructions. Sessions are strictly kept to the published time schedules. Should an author not be present for his/her scheduled talk, the session chair will break until the next scheduled speaker time. Standard audiovisual equipment including: PC laptop, LCD projector, screen, and wireless microphone will be provided in each session room. AV Technicians will be available on site for assistance. Please prepare your presentation in MS PowerPoint (PPT) or PDF and bring it with you to the conference on USB memory stick. We do not collect presentations before or after the event. NOTE: PPT presentations with external videos sometimes require special video decoders / players, and we cannot guarantee the on-site computers will have them. You may bring your own laptop, however, you will need to test your presentation before your session starts, and inform your session chair you have your own machine. If you choose to bring handouts you may do so, but you are solely responsible for their reproduction and distribution. LAN Internet connections are NOT available in the session rooms - daily wireless access is available, but not recommended for presentations.

TechConnect World Poster Presenter Instructions

Poster stands and tacks for mounting will be provided in the poster session areas. The displayable area is 4 feet wide and 4 feet high - you will be sharing an 8 foot poster stand with another attendee, so please do not size your poster any larger than the displayable area of 4 feet by 4 feet. (We recommend a 3x4 portrait size.) Posters may be assembled from individual pages or a large poster sheet. Bring your printed poster with you to the conference - we do not collect posters before or after the event. We do not print posters on-site. Each poster presentation must have at least one author present during the entire 2 hour poster session. Each author will have an assigned poster stand, and you may consult the Conference Program Guide given to you when you arrive, to locate your assigned poster stand. Please remove your poster immediately after your session. Posters not removed at the end of the poster session will be discarded.
